Nash & Jones Trophy Information: US Sailing has mandated that all qualifiers for the Bemis( double-handed junior championship) and the Symthe (single-handed junior championship)  be done at the Area level (in our case Area A).  This is what many of the other districts around the country do already.  So to qualify for the Bemis or Symthe this year, the best junior boats at the Area As get to go.  That is the same as last year.  The change is that anyone can go to the Area As (you don't have to qualify through a local sailing association regattas like the Nash or Jones).   SMSA decided to award the Nash and Jones trophies to the best finishing SMSA boats at the Area A regatta.
