Nash & Jones Trophy Information: US Sailing has mandated that all qualifiers for the Bemis( double-handed junior championship) and the Symthe (single-handed junior championship)  be done at the Area level (in our case Area A).  This is what many of the other districts around the country do already.  So to qualify for the Bemis or Symthe this year, the best junior boats at the Area As get to go.  That is the same as last year.  The change is that anyone can go to the Area As (you don't have to qualify through a local sailing association regattas like the Nash or Jones).   SMSA decided to award the Nash and Jones trophies to the best finishing SMSA boats at the Area A regatta

US Sailing Area A Information

US SAILING would like you to know that the Area A elimination schedule has been posted at  http://www.ussailing.org/championships/ladderbyorg.asp?memberid=305546V&B1=Submit.

To make the Area eliminations more challenging, eliminations for the U.S. Men’s and Women’s for the Mallory and Adams Trophy this year will be combined with the Area B eliminations so if your club wishes to send a team, please be sure to contact the event chair as soon as possible.

The elimination for the Chubb U.S. Junior Championships for the Sears,Bemis and Smythe are next month and in a change from previous years, registration will be online.   You can find the NOR and registration link at http://championships.ussailing.org/Youth/ChubbJrChampionships/AreaElims_NOR.htm.

We look forward to seeing your sailing association represented on the water.

Warm wishes,
